Henkie

2020 was also a year of training and no competitions for Henkie and Adelinde Cornelissen. Henkie has been very successful since his early career. Last year, Adelinde worked on Henkie's flying changes and basic gaits.  She plans to compete at Prix St. Georges this summer. Adelinde has great expectations for him at the upper levels, and we are proud of how well this team has performed so far.

Adelinde says “For me Henkie is a real dressage horse and has proven himself over the years during the World Championship and the KWPN Competition. The feeling he gives is incredible. Henkie has so much power, liberty and switching power. He can go small, go big, you just have to press the button and he will do it. Henkie is the same every day and makes it a joy every day.”

KWPN Breeding Advice:
Henkie can improve the basic gaits, especially with regard to the use of the foreleg and the freedom of the shoulder.

Henkie can be an innovation in our modern dressage horse breeding and without exception inherits a very beautiful foreleg. This was also confirmed by the Stallion Inspection Committee of the Gelders horse: the trot is shown with good posture, flexibility and balance with good foreleg technique and good shoulder freedom. The canter has more than sufficient to good power, scope and flexibility.
