Patheon

Patheon and our rider Alvaro Rodriquez Siscar scored very consistently last year at both the KNHS Outdoor Championships where they became Dutch Champions, and the Pavo and Subli Cup. During the Pavo Cup, they were allowed to advance to the Final with a nice score of 83.6% in the semi-finals, where they scored 83% and thus ended up in the top 10. Patheon receives an average of 9.0 for each performance and assessment. His trot is not yet that spectacular, but moves with a lot of connection and tactful movement, just like his father Hermès. With these qualities of collection and power, we expect a great future for him. His canter is very stable and he jumps with a lot of imprint and power, for which he always receives high points, varying between eight and nine. In 2024, the first foals were born from his small year, which also move with tact and imprint. If you have a mare that moves big, but could gain more power and tact, then Patheon could definitely be the right choice!

2023

Patheon is a strongly built stallion with a super character and attitude. He naturally has a lot of technique in movement and a lot of "schwung" in his trot. A front leg with a lot of knee and a back leg that is bent in the right way. He also has an extra step that was rewarded with a 9.0 in the KWPN Performance Test. His canter also has a lot of jump and carrying capacity.

We are therefore very happy that we have such a good son of our Grand Prix Top Stallion Hermès and from such a strong mother line with a lot of sport.

Hermès x San Remo x Formateur x Cadmus XX

Pedigree:
Patheon is the first KWPN-approved son of Hermès, the KWPN-approved international Grand Prix stallion who is very successfully ridden by Dinja van Liere. Hermès made a splash at the Herning 2022 World Championships, where he won a bronze medal twice, won the Grand Prix at the National Dressage Championships and won several World Cup competitions.

His Dam Watradin (star, PROK) unites the blood of San Remo and Formateur. Granddam Atradin (star, preferent, performance of Formateur) produced a large number of offspring in top sport. She serves as mother of no fewer than three international Grand Prix horses; Hariette (by Cassis XX), Ommen (by Balzflug), Rifradin (by Gribaldi), as well as a ZZ-Licht horse by Balzflug. Atradin is also grandmother and great-grandmother of a large number of international sport horses of the highest level. The mother's line continues with the Cadmus daughter Unette (keur, preferent, performance). Unette serves as mother of many sport horses and the KWPN stallion Mondriaan. In addition, Unette is grandmother of the KWPN stallions Estoril and Invershin.

KWPN Inspection Report 2023:
Patheon is an impressive, sympathetic stallion with a lot of work ethic and a lot of go. The stallion is easy to train. The walk is pure in the four-stroke, active and with very good scope. In the trot the stallion moves with a lot of impulsion and suspension. The trot has good rhythm, space, and a hind leg that is easy to work with. The canter is powerful, has a lot of suspension and a lot of balance. Patheon moves with a lot to a lot of flexibility and good balance. The stallion shows that he has a lot of switching ability. Patheon has a lot to a lot of talent as a dressage horse and gives his rider a very good feeling.

Stable behavior:
Honest, reliable stallion, easy to handle and quiet in the stable.

Breeding/mating advice:
Patheon can improve the walk and flexibility and add suspension and switching ability to dressage horse breeding.
