Vitalis
Grand Prix offspring of the highest creditworthiness
Vitalis is one of the world's best dressage sires. In the current WBFSH ranking he is - as the youngest stallion - in 16th position. He owes this to his Grand Prix-successful offspring, including the European Championship team bronze winner Vayron/Daniel Bachmann Andersen/DEN, the team world champion, two-time individual vice world champion and World Cup runner-up Vamos Amigos/Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour/DEN, the World Cup and European Championship participants First-Step Valentin/Larissa Pauluis/BEL, the Louisdor Prize final runner-up and Aachen runner-up Valencia AS, the Aachen winner and Otto Lörke Prize winner Valesco/both under Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier, the U25 team European champion and freestyle gold winner at the U25 DM, Vinay NRW/Ellen Richter, as well as the Salzburg winner and Nations Cup winners Valparaiso/Laura Strobel. The latter belongs, together with our two-time dressage horse vice world champion, federal champion and Hanoverian champion Vitalos/Leonie Richter, our federal championship and state championship bronze winner Viva Vitalis/Linda Casper and the federal champion and fifth in the final of the four-year-olds at the dressage horse world championships, to Vogue /Leonie Richter, one of the over 70 licensed sons of Vitalis. Not to be forgotten in this list of approved stallions are Valverde NRW (champion stallion, three-time Westphalian champion, federal champion, fourth place in the World Dressage Horse Championships, fourth place in the Louisdor Prize), as well as Villeneuve (first reserve champion, vice world dressage horse champion, third place in the Federal Championships and Burg Cup eight), Vaderland (Westphalian reserve champion and state championship bronze winner) and Va'Pensiero (federal and Hanoverian champion).
Currently in the starting blocks are Voundation/Ann Christin Wienkamp, bronze winner at the Federal Championships and seventh in the four-year-old final at the World Dressage Horse Championships, the Oldenburg State Champion Viva Diamond/Kira Wegmann, the Westphalian Champion Voller Emotions/Stella Charlott Roth, the Vice Westphalian Champion Vito L /Agnes De Boeck, the bronze winner of the Baden-Württemberg State Championships, Vivanti/Antonia Goldbeck, and the Bavarian champion Bonjeur le Soleil K/Christina Winkler...
The approximately 100 state premium mares are led by the winning mares Va'Pensiera (Hannover), Vienna (Westphalia), Virginia K (Rhineland) and Valerie (Baden-Württemberg). The famous daughters also include Victoria’s Secret, dressage horse world champion and federal champion.
The Vitalis foals often topped the price lists: the colt Vardy cost 120,000 euros at the Oldenburg elite auction. Vermeer was the price highlight of the Elite Foal Auction in Vechta 2021 with a knockdown price of 61,000 euros.
Vitalis himself was colt champion in the Netherlands in 2007, reserve champion of the NRW licensing in 2009, HLP dressage index winner in 2010, placed at the World Dressage Horse Championships and in the Pavo Cup final in 2012, champion in the USA in 2013 and again with a record number of points for the dressage horses -World Cup qualification and immediately won the international small tour in 2014 as a seven-year-old. Back in Germany in 2016, Vitalis won the Burg Cup final in Frankfurt under Isabel Freese/NOR and the “Stallion of the Year” competition at Inter I level at the World Championships in Ermelo/NED.
The father Vivaldi is currently in seventh place in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires. He himself was a reserve performance test winner in the Netherlands, a Pavo Cup winner and a two-time winner of the KNHS/KWPN stallion series (trot 10). Under Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED he placed internationally up to St. Georges. In 2013 he won the VHO Trophy at the KWPN licensing. His over 70 licensed sons include the European Championship team runner-up Desperado/Emmelie Scholtens/NED, the Olympic, World Championship and European Championship team fifth place Glock's Dream Boy/Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, and the international Grand Prix winners Cennin/Madeleine Witte-Vrees /NED and Blue Hors Veneziano/Laura Kristine Thorup/DEN and the absolute stallion market record holder with a knockdown price of over two million euros, the Hanoverian premium stallion Vivino.
The mother Tolivia was named champion mare in the Netherlands when she was three years old. Vitali's full brother My Vitality is a Danish premium stallion, won gold in the Danish Championships for four-year-old dressage horses in 2021 and took eighth place in the World Championship final for six-year-old dressage horses in 2023 under Eric Guardia Martinez/ESP. The full brother One Two Three was also licensed (premium stallion KWPN).
The dam's sire D-Day was a premium stallion in Oldenburg in 1994 and winner of his stallion performance test in Neustadt/D in 1996. In sport he won the small tour. In terms of breeding, he left his mark primarily in the Netherlands and Sweden.
The great-grandfather Argus was successful in both dressage and jumping up to Grand Prix and Aktion J, who followed in the fourth generation, was one of the most successful dressage stallions of his generation with Gyula Dallos/HUN.
